We are all about self care because we just can’t get enough of it!
Our day-to-day lives can be quite stressful and sometimes we overload our schedule with responsibilities that are even beyond a superhero’s potential. Yes, it’s important to work towards your goals and to achieve, but it’s also as important to know how to take time for yourself. We need that time to unwind, to relax, and to take care of our bodies and souls. This is a basic human need.
That being said, here’s how you can incorporate a self care routine into the hustle and bustle of your day-to-day life.
Spend Some Time with Yourself
When we say spend time with yourself, we mean without your phone. Take some time, even if it’s just 10-15 minutes where you just check in, breathe and refuel yourself. Do this daily. Whether it means waking up 15 minutes earlier, going to sleep 20 minutes later, or going for a walk on your lunch break - assign that time to check-in with yourself without social media, friends or family.
Take a Long Hot Bath
We all have time to clean ourselves right? I really hope so. Instead of rushing through your shower, how about setting aside time once a week for a long hot bath with essential oils, and your favorite music playing in the background. Sounds nice right? If you don’t have a bath, do you have time to go to a sauna or spa nearby? How about making that a tradition once a month, depending on your budget.
Take on a Healthy Hobby
It’s time to take on that hobby that you’ve been thinking about ever since you were 16-years-old. Whether it’s tai-chi, painting, running, kickboxing, drawing, writing, singing lessons, coding or gardening - just do it. Adapt your hobby into your weekly schedule. It can just be 30 minutes of your week, we believe in you, you can make time to do the things that make you feel good inside.
Get a Real Amount of Sleep
Let’s get off our devices at night and actually get like 7-8 hours of sleep so we can love life again right? Sleep is so important for our beauty care, our emotional wellbeing and our health. We all know this, so why do we sacrifice it so often? Take care of yourself and get a good night’s rest, every night.
What habits or activities do you do for yourself? We’d love to hear about your very own self care routine.
